Is Double Strength a replacement for original OxyPrep?
No. Both formulas stay in the line. Standard is the original OxyPrep you already know, unchanged. Double Strength is twice the strength of Standard, as manufactured, for heavy or embedded staining. Pick the one that fits the job from the Formula selector above.
Do I need to change my REACT|EXTRACT™ procedure?
No. Same steps, same sequence, same dwell window of 30 to 60 seconds. Apply to saturation, neutralize with OxyPar LR or SuperPar while the surface is still wet, allow absorption, then extract. The one thing worth repeating: never skip the neutralization step. It matters more with Double Strength, not less.
Can I dilute it to stretch a jug?
No. Both formulas are built ready to use and neither should be cut with water. Diluting changes your results in ways nobody can predict, because the water on your job site is not the water on ours. If a stain resists, reapply at full strength instead.
Will it damage the substrate?
Not when used as directed and neutralized. OxyPrep is chlorinated, and any chlorinated product left unneutralized on a surface can cause damage over time, which is exactly what OxyPar LR is for. Test an inconspicuous area first on finished, painted, or unusual surfaces. Avoid contact with bare metal, and keep it off anything you would not treat with a chlorinated cleaner.
What PPE do I need?
At minimum, chemical splash goggles, chemical resistant gloves, and protective clothing that covers exposed skin. Do not breathe mist or vapor, and use respiratory protection when spraying or working in confined or poorly ventilated spaces. Double Strength is classified as corrosive, so treat it accordingly. Why don’t you publish the concentration?
Because the number on its own tells you very little about how a product performs on a job site. Formulation, stabilization, and how the product behaves inside the REACT|EXTRACT™ sequence matter more than a single figure. The hazard information you need to work safely is fully disclosed in the Safety Data Sheet for each formula, and both are available in the Documents tab.
