Tintable, Water-based and non-flammable
SafeGuard is a semi-transparent protective coating for the long-lasting protection of structural surfaces in within the building envelope (i.e.“conditioned spaces”). Once cured, it forms a durable, “white wash” satin finish that is mold and moisture resistant. SafeGuard is breathable to prevent against wet and dry rot and allows for drying if saturated in the future.

All structural surfaces in soon-to-be conditioned areas (i.e. structural framing) and for post-remediation specifications
SafeGuard is used to protect most structural construction materials including treated and untreated lumber, plywood, OSB, particle board, cement board, wallboard, composite construction materials and metals. Probable areas of use are structural surfaces within the building envelope including warm-side sheathing, trusses, framing, joists, plates, pillars, posts, beams, gypsum board and backer board.
Consult SDS for details
SafeGuard is formulated as a ready-to- use coating and should not be diluted. It can be applied with a brush, roller or airless sprayer to obtain an even finish. Do not apply past the point of run-off. A cross-hatching technique is the best way to ensure sufficient wet/dry film thickness and complete coverage. Consult the Enviroguard New Construction Warranty and Enviroguard Existing Construction Warranty documents for details.
For warranted best results, apply at 160 ft2 per gallon (800 ft2 per pail = 10 wet mils) based upon location, surface texture, porosity, age and application method. Does not include loss from over-spray or over-use.
