ClearGuard is a clear satin protective coating for the long-lasting protection of most construction materials in high-humidity areas. It applies white, but once cured forms a durable and clear satin finish that is mold and water-resistant. ClearGuard is breathable to prevent against wet and dry rot and allows for drying if saturated in the future.
*Treated Articles Exemption - This product contains an EPA registered antimicrobial to protect the coating from non-public health fungi and odor causing bacteria. No public health claims are being made.
Uses
All structural surfaces especially in unconditioned and moisture prone areas such as attics, basements and crawl spaces and for post-remediation specifications.

ClearGuard is used to protect most construction materials including treated and untreated lumber, OSB, particle board, masonry surfaces, concrete, brick, wallboard, composite construction materials and metals. Other surfaces include sheathing, trusses, framing, joists, plates, pillars, posts, beams and walls.

ClearGuard is formulated as a ready-to-use coating. It can be applied with a brush, roller or airless sprayer to obtain an even finish. Do not apply past the point of run-off. A cross-hatching technique is the best way to ensure sufficient wet/dry film thickness and complete coverage. Coverage Rate
For warranted best results, apply at 160 ft2 per gallon (800 ft2 per pail = 10 wet mils) based upon location, surface texture, porosity, age and application method. Does not include loss from over-spray or over-use.
